Job Description
Job Purpose
To operate and monitor filling machines to ensure the accurate and efficient filling of products into containers, while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Machine Operation
- Operate automatic/semi-automatic filling machines as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Set up, adjust, and monitor machinery for proper operation and product changeovers.
- Load packaging materials and product into the machine.
2. Quality Control
- Ensure correct fill levels and product weight.
- Monitor packaging integrity and check for defects or contamination.
- Conduct in-process checks and document results as per quality guidelines.
3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to equipment.
- Report mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
- Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of machines to ensure smooth operation.
4. Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to meet 5S and GMP standards.
- Comply with company policies, SOPs, and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO).
5. Documentation
- Record production data such as output quantities, downtime, and batch numbers.
- Complete batch records and logbooks accurately and timely.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical or vocational training is a plus.
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing or production environment.
